In the lead up to the 125th anniversary and celebrations of Wanganui Collegiate School Rowing, Peter Irvine set about researching and documenting the history of WCS rowing.  The task proved to be greater than was initially thought and Peter was unable to complete his work before he passed away in February 2014.

The WCS Museum Trust has committed to see Peter’s rowing history completed and published and is delighted that Old Boy Michael Grace (WCS VIII 1997 and NZ University Rowing rep in '03 & '04) an avid rowing historian, has accepted an invitation  to take on the task of completing Irv’s history.

Michael comes to the task with great credentials having researched and written the 125 year history of the Wellington Rowing club in 2010  The publication,The Dolly Varden Legacy, has been internationally acclaimed as a first class rowing history.

You can contact Michael by email at mgracee@yahoo.com
